In connection with the Environment Day, several events were conducted in Chinmaya Vidyalaya Vaduthala. Under the aegis of the Eco club of the school, saplings were planted. Students of Grade XII, presented a skit on the Theme “Beat the Plastic”. The chief guest was Retired Joint Registrar of CUSAT, Mr. Vishnu Priyan Kartha. Representatives from YI NGO (Young Indians) Mr. Vivek Pramod and Ms. Meenakshi Menon gifted two fruit saplings. Students were gifted with seed pens to spread the message ‘One Pen, One Tree’. A group of students visited neighbouring houses of the Vidyalaya to create awareness on how to reduce plastic consumption by distributing pamphlets.
