The Students' Council was constituted this year by conducting elections,beating a retreat from the practice of interviews and selection followed in the previous years.The election to form the student body was in tune with a democratic spirit which is generally considered fair and just for governance.The election was held on 2/7/2018 to elect leaders for various posts viz.,Head Boy and Head Girl for the Senior level as well as the Junior level,Sports Captain and Assistant Sports Captain.The process was initiated with the nominees giving their fiery and charged speeches offering  the best of what they were capable of doing for the better functioning of the school.The democratic fervour was quite palpable during the week prior to the elections when the entire school buzzed with discussions on the prospective winners and losers. On 2nd July,2018, the candidates reintroduced themselves to the students in their last minute attempt of hope and eager expectation before the voters went to the polling booths arranged in the auditorium. Mr Binu Joseph  gave detailed instructions on the procedure for voting.The students from classes VIII to XII lined up roll number-wise , received the ballot paper from the booth office and kept the seal against the names of the candidates they had chosen to vote for and dropped the same in the  ballot box.After the completion of the exercise of voting ,the voters received the black ink mark on the left index finger,making its semblance with the National elections complete.The results were declared on 3rd July,2018 promptly ushering in a new year of collective responsibilities shouldered by a competent batch of promising leaders.
