The kindergarten section of Chinmaya Vidyalaya Vaduthala celebrated Janmashtami on 13.09.2025. The kindergarten was festively decorated with colourful streamers, flowers, and pictures of Lord Krishna. The celebrations began with a special assembly where Ms. Sandhya narrated the story of Krishna's birth. Children came dressed as little Krishnas and Radhas. Students enjoyed decorating flutes and small earthen pots with glitter, paint and cotton, symbolizing Krishna's love for music and butter. A tableau was conducted, focusing on Krishna's childhood tales, including his mischievous love for butter. The children sang simple prayer in praise of Lord Krishna. Small pot was hung, and the kids enjoyed trying to break it. The children were introduced to the cultural significance of Janmashtami and the life of Lord Krishna. The festive atmosphere and interactive activities fostered a sense of joy and belonging among the students.
The Primary section of our school celebrated Janmashtami with great enthusiasm and devotion. The Programme began with a soulful musical presentation by the students, highlighting the playful and divine aspects of Krishna’s life. This was followed by a skit depicting episodes from Krishna’s childhood. The dance performance was also well appreciated by students. To engage students further, an interactive quiz round was conducted on the life and teachings of Lord Krishna. Students also delivered inspiring speeches, expressing the values of love, truth and righteousness that Krishna embodied.
The event concluded with a motivating address by the Primary Headmistress, Ms. Prasanna, who emphasized the importance of imbibing Krishna’s values in daily life. The celebration spread joy and devotion among students.
