Chinmaya Vidyalaya Vaduthala, celebrated its 45th Annual School Day on 25th January, Saturday at Kerala Fine Arts Hall, Ernakulam. Shri S. Sreejith. I.P.S. Inspector General of police, Crimes, South Zone, was the Chief Guest of the day. Chief Sevak, CMECT - GC Shri A. Gopalakrishnan and Sri V.N. Venugopal, Sr Trustee presided over the function. Vice Principal, Ms Mini K welcomed the gathering and Principal Ms Prathiba V presented the School annual report. The Chief Guest in his speech highlighted the awareness of violation happening to children through Internet and the safety of children in modern society. The annual prize distribution function was a moment of pride and honour for all the winners and achievers of the school, The students were awarded prizes in the academic and co-curricular activities. This was followed by colourful and mesmerizing cultural events.
The opening item ‘Music and Eye candy’ was not only an enchanting entertainer, but also projected refinement in artistic integrity. The ‘Japanese and Chinese Welcome dance’ by the students of Std I and II was an attempt at acuminating universal outlook by way of providing an exposure to Chinese and Japanese dances. Coincidentally this heart stopper performance by the little ones happened to be on the Chinese Lunar New Year Day. The musical ‘Pied Piper’ drove home the messages of keeping one’s promises and showing empathy to the less privileged. The ‘Street play’ roused pride in our motherland. ‘The Dances of India’ again was a celebration of unity in diversity. On the whole this year’s Annual Day Programme was a true celebration of CVP Values.
