Aaradhana Day was observed with the participation of parents, students, and teachers to honour the teachings and values of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda.
The event began with a special session involving guided meditation and the chanting of “Om Shri Chinmaya Sadh Gurave Namah” 11 times, engaging both students and teachers. A soulful bhajan session added to the spiritual atmosphere, including the chanting of the Bhagavad Gita Chapter 15, Guru Paduka Stotram, and Chinmaya Ashtakam. The Chinmaya Ashtothara Shata Namavali was reverently chanted, with the Paduka Puja, invoking the divine presence of Pujya Gurudev and offering our heartfelt devotion at His holy feet. Ms. Sunitha and Ms. Sheela addressed the students on the topics 'Life of Gurudev ' and 'Gurudev’s Ideals in Today’s World' respectively. Through their words, the children gained a deeper understanding of the life, ideals and principles of Pujya Swami Chinmayananda, encouraging them to imbibe his values in their own lives. Principal Ms. Prathiba V performed the aarati. The observance concluded with a skit titled “A Path to Inner Mastery,” which highlighted the core values of Atma-Vinigraha, Shraddha, Sadhana and Svadhyaya.
Students from the Primary and Kindergarten sections participated in bhajans and prayer sessions with utmost sincerity and devotion. Their involvement added a serene and uplifting atmosphere to the day's observance.
A film on Gurudev was shared with families to be viewed at home, allowing for a collective moment of remembrance and learning. These activities aimed to foster parent-school collaboration and encourage self-awareness and inner discipline rooted in the teachings of Gurudev. Following the screening, students will share their reflections and insights, expressing how Gurudev’s life and teachings have influenced them. As a continuation of this reflective exercise, they have also been asked to prepare a creative reel on the 'Ideals and Principles of Gurudev'
The day left a lasting impression on participants, enhancing value-based learning, strengthening family ties and deepening reverence for Indian culture and the teachings of Gurudev.
